And on the 8th Day, God realized that Jet Set Zero would crash-land in Tokyo, and that the days would be long, the food unhealthy, and guesthouse cold and lonely.  And so He sent a man to save them from despair, to teach them the ways of sushi and yaki soba, to watch wrestling with them late at night, ultimately to give them a reason to miss their trying times in Japan once they left.  That man’s name was Hiro.

Poverty seems antithetical to Japanese culture, but after more than two months in country the crew is beginning to find their niche just in time to leave it…

Making this episode sucked.  As you’ll notice, Episode 205 is airing almost a week late.  I think there are 4 separate and almost complete versions of this episode featuring radically different content sitting on my storage array.  The draft I had planned out with the crew a month ago disappeared somewhere around the second revision never to be seen again.  Almost none of the original footage made the episode.

So Episode 5 and 6 are both currently in the works, but neither is ready for release today. There was an odd sequence of events occurring across the few weeks this footage was collected during, so it’s been difficult for me to sort it all out.

As Valentines day is approaching we shifted our interview questions to more of a romantic nature.  We had a few simple inquiries: What is a typical date?  What is your perfect date? And – What do you look for in a boyfriend/girlfriend?

You’re going to have to wait until the episode to find out what the full answers were, but here’s some hints: shopping, Disney Sea, money.

We’re always looking for new ways to explore the local culture, and tonight we tried a new one.  Simply asking people about it.  New friends and new enemies galore, and certainly more to come.
