Last week we saw the end of the story in Saigon, but we’re not quite done with Vietnam yet.  This week we are proud to release the trailer for Season 5: Saigon.  If you’re new to the show, series or just a fan of the latest season I highly recommend checking it out.  It’s also a great way to introduce friends to the show (pass it along to friends!  it’s great karma).

NEW RELEASE HERE

If you’ve seen the whole season (or even if you haven’t) then give us some feedback.  What did you like?  What didn’t you like?  Favorite character?  Destination suggestion?  We want to hear it all – web@jetsetzero.tv.

And remember, passing the trailer along to friends now will make you look way cooler than waiting until we’re all over prime time TV and they’ve already heard of us.  So, hurry! Get on it!

We are happy to present the last in our series of timelapses in Tokyo– ironically the first we shot and produced. This shot began as an experiment to capture both the bustling frenzy of life in Tokyo, as well as our experience as solitary observers– outsiders with only enough resources to let the foot traffic of the city wash over us. What emerged were a set of three profound and visually stunning shorts that do more than any other single shots we captured during Season 2 to communicate our experiences in Japan.

With finances reaching the critical disaster zone Matt must forgo his spot in the guesthouse and find a home on the streets of Tokyo to save money.

Okay.  So, it has been a while.  More than three weeks, to be precise, which is exactly two weeks longer than it should have been since this episode was released.  A lot happened this month, from obvious hardware failures, to marauding ex-girlfriends, to rheumatoid arthritis, to hilariously weak immune systems, but the simple fact of the matter is that once upon a time none of this ever would have phased me.

We made a lot of good friends during our time in Vietnam, but one of the best and most unexpected was Thao Trang.  Trang was in one of our general English classes, and asked us for weeks to go to her shows.  It took us awhile, but by the time we finally made it we realized what we were missing.  Trang is an incredibly beautiful and talented singer that really opened her life to us and showed us what Vietnam and Saigon were like for her.  This video lets you hear about her life, singing, and friendship with Jet Set Zero in her own words.

This is the music video that closes out our first season in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Check out Episode 9, or start from the beginning.

Last December I bought a Nikon D90 as sort of a Christmas present to myself. For a while now I’ve been wanting to try time-lapse photography with it, but so far I haven’t had a good place to leave the camera (and laptop) for an extended period of time. A few days ago we were up on our balcony enjoying the perfect weather and commenting on how clear it was that day, when I realized it would be a perfect time to try it out. I attached the camera to the railing of our balcony and left it for over 9 hours, snapping shots every 10 seconds…. here’s the result:

We’ve mentioned it before, but now it has it’s very own video.  We just arrived in Tokyo, and we’re looking for a new friend to join us.  Its simple: check out the video, and then apply here.
